About Me
I am B Senguttuvan, lawyer, author and former Member of Parliament. Have been in law practice for well over three decades and a lustrum. My stints as a Lawyer, Government Pleader and Public Prosecutor equipped me well enough to author some books on legal subjects with Forewords by eminent jurists and judges. Sexual Offences against Women and Children, A Treatise on Dishonour of Cheques, Industrial Disputes Act, CPC and Supreme Court on Criminal Law etc. to mention a few….
Being such, I got noticed by Amma, who fielded me as the AIADMK Party’s candidate for the Vellore Lok Sabha Constituency in 2014, which the Party won back after 30 years by a margin of 59000-odd votes. Amma gave me an opportunity to serve the public. The demise of Amma, left a big vacuum like the astronomical Black Hole. But one has to take things in his stride and to keep his chin up, whatever happens in life. We are, if we truly understand our life, the beacon of Hope for the Generation Next, which should be better than us and to whom we are indebted to our knowledge impart, whilst we pursue our quest for knowledge:
And this gray spirit yearning in desire
To follow knowledge like a sinking star,
Beyond the utmost bound of human thought.
We are inspired by these words of Ulysses written by Alfred Lord Tennyson:
Tho’ much is taken, much abides; and tho’
We are not now that strength which in old days
Moved earth and heaven, that which we are, we are;
One equal temper of heroic hearts,
Made weak by time and fate, but strong in will
To strive, to seek, to find, and not to yield.
Inspiration and the spirit of challenge comes from Poet Bharathi.

What though the field be lost? All is not lost as long as you have the unconquerable will and the courage never to submit or yield. Putting all else behind, one has to march ahead rousing oneself and the others from the slothful slumber of spirit. For, one must leave the world better than he found it. There is much to learn and much to give. Not used to eating the bread of idleness, I have lined up several projects and have many a different perspective. About that later….
